We took the southern route, US41, across the Florida Pennsula. Most of the highway between Naples and Miami’s western suburbs is in the Everglades, much of it within the National Park boundries.
We stopped at Shark Valley without expectations, mostly to break up the trip and stretch our legs. We found a really nice easy walk along a wide paved path along a stream full of birds and alligators. There must be enough tourists that the wild life comfortable having people close to them.
These pictures were taken with my phone and cropped slightly or not at all. We were that close to the birds and beasts.
